Hi, I’m Jenna.

Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Remember how I grew up with a huge garden in our front yard? If not, you can read about it here. Well, my parents have continued on with that garden even after my siblings and I moved out. Now, instead of having to plant and weed the garden to reap the benefits, I just get to have an abundance of vegetables and fruit dropped off at my house whenever my parents come to the cities (thanks Mom and Dad - you guys are the BEST)! This time we got carrots!!

This recipe is so incredibly easy. Like 4 ingredient easy (and 1 of those ingredients is carrots)! This is a perfect go-to side that you can whip up in absolutely no time at all.

My boys gobble these up and always ask for seconds. I have learned to double or triple the recipe because otherwise we run out. Okay enough talk about carrots, I’m off to go eat an entire bowl of them (I seriously am going to)! Hope you enjoy these brown sugar glazed carrots!!

Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

  • 4 - 6 servings

  • 3 cups carrots, sliced*

  • 1 Tbsp butter

  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and add the carrots.

  2. Cook the carrots until you are able to pierce them with a fork.**

  3. Add the brown sugar and salt to the carrots and stir to combine.

  4. Turn the heat up to medium high and cook the carrots for 1 additional minute.

  5. Serve hot!

*If you want to save time, just buy pre-sliced carrots!

**Do NOT overcook the carrots (they will then turn into the loath-able “cafeteria carrots”).

My boys shovel these carrots in (as pictured)!

  • Let your kids help you cut up the carrots with these knives.

  • With close supervision, have them help you stir the carrots in the pan.

  • Let them measure out the brown sugar and salt.
